03:37:54 knobo: Does any of you know of a fileformat that uses the mcd suffix?
03:45:23 cpm: minicad?
03:45:34 cpm: aka vectorworks
03:46:48 cpm: I think minicad 7 ( version prior to vectorworks ) used .mcd. And old version of mathcad used it too.
03:47:36 cpm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiniCAD
03:47:37 sigq: Title: VectorWorks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ( at en.wikipedia.org )
03:48:19 sigq: grassfeed: Ticket #847 ( defect created ): v.out.ogr format=GMT ignores dsn= <https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ticket/847>
04:12:38 knobo: Is it possible to open these files on linux?
04:13:37 cpm: if they are vectorworks files, I'm not aware of anything that will open them.
04:14:19 cpm: what's the source of these files?
04:15:14 knobo: I don't know. I just got some files and was asked if it is possible to convert them to png or gif. I have sendt an email asking for some more details.
04:15:42 knobo: I found a gps util program that could import the files, but I don't think it is possible to do what he asks.
04:15:58 knobo: unless he buyes the software.
04:17:46 cpm: Yup. Near as I can tell, you need vectorworks to work with these files, period. Vectorworks can ( of course ) export dwg or dxf.
05:21:48 knobo: thanx
