06:22:32 sigq: osgeofeed: Ticket #311 ( task created ): Update website with our 2008 Sol Katz award winner Paul Ramsey <http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/311>
08:06:28 acuster: FrankW, any luck with the DNS transfer?
08:07:32 FrankW: acuster: I updated the ticket with the latest information.
08:07:53 FrankW: It seems the domain is in a special state and needs to be reactivated at the source registratar before it can be transferred.
08:11:54 acuster: grrr. Thanks
09:15:16 sigq: osgeofeed: Changeset [1279]: french translation <http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/changeset/1279>

11:43:20 FrankW: seven: Did you work out how to update the osgeo svn? ( per #308 ).
11:43:37 FrankW: Also, did the board meeting take place? Will minutes be available soon? Perhaps I should be asking Tyler?
11:47:59 seven: FrankW: No quorum at board meeting unfortunately.
11:48:11 seven: We want to reschedule for Thursday this week two hours later.
11:48:29 : * seven still needs to write a mail to the board list.
11:48:47 FrankW: ok, that should work fine for me. Sorry for not making it.
11:49:11 seven: NP.
11:50:18 seven: FrankW: No answer yet to #308. Can you help me?
11:50:38 FrankW: Yes, I can.
11:51:20 FrankW: I see now that I misunderstood the point about checking out the web site.
11:51:26 FrankW: You mean how to force osgeo1 to be refreshed from svn.
11:51:33 FrankW: I can login and do that.
11:51:52 FrankW: Generally only "primary administrators" have accounts on osgeo1 to do this.
11:52:05 FrankW: I think there was discussion of a more automated mechanism but I don't think it happened.
11:59:27 FrankW: seven: I'm looking in /var/www/html/sites/all/themes/osgeo but it looks like someone has already made local modifications without commiting them.
11:59:33 FrankW: ls
12:00:01 FrankW: page.tpl.php, logo.png and style.css are modified locally.
12:00:57 FrankW: What file( s ) did you update?
12:23:29 FrankW: _wolf_: Any chance you made changes in /var/www/html/sites/all/themes/osgeo without committing in svn?
12:32:49 : <_wolf_> FrankW: yes, I didn't have the root pw on my...
12:32:53 : <_wolf_> on me that is
12:34:26 : <_wolf_> please don't overwrite those changes. I've added the logo, and some extra spacing for it, plus there appears to be another local fix ( for the removal of the search box
12:35:09 FrankW: Should I commit the changes? Merge them with Arnulfs?
12:37:19 FrankW: I'm guessing that he has updated logo.png, if not other files.
12:37:31 FrankW: seven?
13:11:19 : * seven was busy, sorry.
13:13:18 seven: FrankW: I uploaded the logos here: http://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/marketing/logo/
13:13:19 sigq: Title: Revision 1279: /marketing/logo ( at svn.osgeo.org )
13:13:34 seven: not to the website svn; i wasn't aware there was one
13:13:46 seven: _wolf_ has updated the site manually.
13:14:02 seven: So somone needs to commit those local changes back to SVN
13:14:11 seven: the website SVN obviously
13:14:19 seven: then everythign is back to normal
13:14:50 FrankW: ok, I'll commit _wolf_'s changes.
13:14:59 seven: Cool, thanks,
13:15:06 FrankW: Are the /osgeo/marketing/logo things supposed to end up somewhere on the web site?
13:15:13 seven: If you underoccupied go here too: http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/
13:15:14 sigq: Title: OSGeo - Trac ( at trac.osgeo.org )
13:15:29 seven: Yes, but most has been done already.
13:15:29 sigq: osgeofeed: Changeset [1280]: various updates from wolf <http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/changeset/1280>
13:15:44 seven: Quite a bit It has to be done manually on each server.
13:15:58 seven: It is a little painful but I fear the bigger picture more.
13:16:02 FrankW: ok, wolf's changes are committed.
13:16:04 CIA-54: osgeo: warmerdam * r1280 /webcom/themes/osgeo/ ( logo.png style.css page.tpl.php ): various updates from wolf
13:16:16 FrankW: Are you wanting to update the trac logo?
13:16:20 seven: It is amazing where the logo is already places.
13:16:37 seven: FrankW: Sure
13:16:52 seven: All logos that we ever put anywhere need to be updated.
13:16:53 seven: :- )
13:17:07 FrankW: I think "need" is a bit strong
13:17:11 FrankW: But I get your point.
13:17:18 seven: Ah - we have a brand
13:17:22 FrankW: So where do I find a comparibly sized logo?
13:17:31 seven: that we even think we need to protect and write rules and how to use them.
13:17:50 seven: The easy ones are in the WIki

13:18:50 sigq: Title: Logo Update - OSGeo Wiki ( at wiki.osgeo.org )
13:18:58 FrankW: Is does not appear that there is a 220x80 version...
13:19:31 FrankW: The 200x85 may be adequate.
13:19:49 seven: If necessary we can make any resolution.
13:20:43 seven: The one on the website is a custom size.
13:21:03 seven: And the old one had a border, this one does not.
13:21:18 seven: Don't give away space. The applicaitons already do that.
13:22:14 FrankW: trac.osgeo.org/osgeo updated.
13:22:40 seven: Cool. Thanks a lot.
13:23:15 seven: One more done.:

18:54:11 sigq: Title: IRC - OSGeo Wiki ( at wiki.osgeo.org )
18:54:28 wildintellect: ya I'm looking through the logs, seems to have some time gaps
18:54:44 wildintellect: trying to find the last marketing meeting stuff
18:55:27 wildintellect: but it doesn't seem to be there
18:58:50 crschmidt: that's probably just times sigq has wandered of
18:58:51 crschmidt: f
18:58:57 crschmidt: IRC bots are hard to maintain
19:02:10 wildintellect: ah that would make sense
19:02:23 wildintellect: so ensuring the bot is on would ensure the log
19:03:26 crschmidt: most likely, yes
19:04:18 : * wildintellect wishes he new more about how the bots work
19:04:28 crschmidt: They're programatic IRC clients.
19:04:43 crschmidt: find out how your IRC client works at the protocol level, and you have the basics of a bot.
