05:19:06 Dorofeev: Hi All ! I have a problem with running qgis with python support from trunk. When application starts, it shows dialog that python support is disabled : "ImportError: No module named qgis.core". ;( How to fix this?
05:20:16 dassouki: are u on windows or linux
05:21:58 dassouki: on windows, i had to do a custom osgeo installation that included python, and pyqgis.
05:23:41 Dorofeev: on linux. I compiled it, and installed in custom directory
05:24:35 dassouki: ooh i'm not sure, i just use the deb file on linux
05:24:52 dassouki: mailing list would help :D usually you'll get a response within a few hours
05:26:02 Dorofeev: : ) ok .I`ll post this issue there
08:06:23 jef: Dorofeev: which distribution?
08:08:02 jef: Dorofeev: on debian you could try to build debs using http://wiki.qgis.org/qgiswiki/BuildingFromSource#head-7bb27e6ea1c8655e859b0405fabf5febd664767b

09:32:21 Dorofeev: Opensuse 11.1
10:14:06 wildintellect: sounds like a path issue
10:14:19 wildintellect: or on linux an ldconfig issue
12:27:05 timlinux: hi all
12:27:24 timlinux: jef what are we going to do about the ppa?
12:27:36 timlinux: can you host them in your personal ppa for now?
12:32:45 jef: timlinux: already there. I wanted to copy them to the team ppas
12:36:37 timlinux: jef ok good
12:37:15 jef: timlinux: we could also create a unstable team ppa. rename unstable/stable to stable and phase the ppa ppa out. thereby everyone would have to decide which tree to follow.
12:47:00 jef: timlinux: got my response?
12:49:44 timlinux: jef ok lets wait a day or two more to see if they respond to that ticket
12:53:12 drofan__: jef: you were right, it was ldconfig issue, because I had another version of qgis installed from rpm`s. After deleting it, all work fine
12:56:21 jef: drofan__: that was wildintellect ; )
13:05:54 drofan__: : )
13:14:55 jef: timlinux: we could also create a unstable team ppa. rename unstable/stable to stable and phase the ppa ppa out. thereby everyone would have to decide which tree to follow.
13:15:26 timlinux: jef ok lets wait a day or two more to see if they respond to that ticket <--
13:16:12 timlinux: or am I misunderstanding what you are suggesting?
13:16:33 timlinux: you mean a new team as well as just a new ppa right?
13:16:57 jef: no, no new team. just a ppa.
13:17:13 jef: but I'm ok with waiting.
13:17:39 timlinux: let me get it up here quick
13:17:58 timlinux: my ubuntu has been crashing since I made a clean install of jaunty :-(
13:18:12 timlinux: on ext4
13:18:21 timlinux: ( which is brilliantly fast )
13:18:29 timlinux: ( when its not crashing )
13:18:50 jef: timlinux: so it's not your connection this time
13:19:07 timlinux: jef: well its that too :-(
13:19:56 timlinux: jef: interestingly qgis seems faster loading my larger datasets from postgis on the ext4 filesystem
13:20:04 timlinux: I should do a proper benchmark
22:53:36 sigq: tracfeed: Ticket #1684 ( bug created ): Grass v.in.ogr plugin does not work ( with grass6.4RC4 ) <https://trac.osgeo.org/qgis/ticket/1684>
